St Mary’s Church has been serving the community for over 900 years.  It is a place of architectural and artistic beauty as well as worship, prayer and social action. It is our privilege and duty to continue this work.

Enhancing Life through Heritage is a specific project seeking to connect heritage with wellbeing.

We aim to:

  • Save the extraordinary heritage of St Mary’s Beverley by repairing the North Nave and the Tower, making this building secure for future generations.
  • Improve wellbeing by providing opportunities for young people to learn heritage skills and to be inspired to begin a career in the heritage sector through our Traditional Occupations Module.
  • Increase access to heritage by developing a space where people can learn and explore the history and the skills of those who have contributed to our built heritage, where people can get involved and belong.

This project is overseen by a board of skilled volunteers with expertise from education, construction, heritage and the technology sector.
